This online IEP is very successful in helping my listening—it gives me more control than when the teacher played the tape in the classroom. And I’m very happy with the speaking units—my teacher shows which words I have trouble with in pronunciation. And the eProgram is very good to improve my writing skills. I am really grateful.

It's cool. It not only helps us improve our English, but it also lets us understand the U.S., American Culture, and Americans very well! It's really very helpful; I got lots of clear ideas about how to write essay. My teacher did a wonderful job! Especially in speaking, after we got the teacher's instruction, we go back to listen to what we said and reviewed the instruction, and then we really can find lots of help which before we've never noticed!

I learned a lot about Americas politics, government, and schools. I learned a lot with the writing units because in Switzerland we write essays in a different structure than in the USA. Of course, I also learned Grammar. The Speaking units are great; nobody ever corrected my speaking before, and I never knew which parts of what do I say in English is wrong or is lacking fluency. My U.S. email partner helped me very much, and she answered all of my questions promptly.

E-program classes are really good because you can organize your own time in order to dedicate time for your homework and for the TOEFL; you have there all what you will do during the course so it is easier to know what you have to do. The writing units helped me a lot because I didn't know anything about writing academic essays. I learned about introductions, thesis statements, conclusions, and it also improved my vocabulary. The speaking units helped me to better my accent, to learn the pronunciation of unknown words and in some way to improve my listening because the questions were not written. Having a U.S. e-partner I think is a good activity because I can learn slang, practice with a native English speaker, and also to meet new friends.

Learning English in the eProgram is better than in the traditional system. It is very good for me. First, I can spend the time I want to do my assignment. Second, I can work as fast as I want. I can have discussions with my classmates through e-mail. And my U.S. e-mail partner is helpful. The grammar help is excellent--we have a lot of things to study, and the only problem is that we do not have time to do everything. I learned a lot with the writing units--the explanations of the teachers are wonderful and even help a lot in the process of learning how to read. The speaking unit is great--I learned what problems I have with my speaking and how to solve them.

Congratulations to all responsible for this eProgram. People like to learn, but the way that schools have been teaching is too old. This new system is so good. In my opinion the school in the future will teach the same way or some thing like we are having now. Congratulations. This eProgram is very interesting. Today, I can tell that I understand better how to write an essay because the way that my teacher explained to us and made it easy; she gave us very good examples and I'm sure that everybody understood--She very good teacher. I think the Speaking unit is very good. I could record my voice and hear how I was speaking. Listening to what I spoke helped me a lot to try to speak clearly and slowly. I like it because we don't need to be in class listening to a teacher, and we can attend to the lesson at school or at home; this so good. My U.S. e-mail partner was helpful--She wrote me almost every day and she was ready to help me. Again, this eProgram is so interesting. I've never had pleasure in going to school, but this past six weeks in the eProgram was wonderful.

If you do e-program, you will improve. I could improve my reading ability and improve listening comprehension. I like the aspect that I could learn about many things of America. Also, I learned many details about writing a composition. For example, I learned the structure of sentences, correct pronoun usage, and so on. I liked reading in the eProgram best for I learned a lot about the American culture and ways. The writing helped me so much; I can now write a standard essay--thanks be to my teacher for all the extra help with my essays. The Speaking unit helped me to pronounce some words correctly. This technology is better than you think; it is a good decision to try the eProgram. I learned new vocabulary and the way Americans are. I learned a lot with the writing units.
